Policy guidance...as promised...

As you should already know, this year's Gateshead Healthy School Award is focussing on establishing or reviewing good, whole-school policies. This is all in preparation for when we launch the new Healthy Schools Programme in April 2006. If you missed the GHSA Co-ordinators' Meeting or have yet to receive the most recent GHSA Guidelines then download them below. This year's Guidelines contains quality guidance on developing whole-school policies.

To help you on your application this year we've pulled together a range of guidance documents and websites for the specific themes of the GHSA. These are all based on good evidence and practice, so feel free to use them. Remember, your Core Team representitive is there to provide you with the support you need to achieve the 2005-6 award.
